Ixcaco
boutique ~ wholesale buying agent |
Now Carlos has his own website: www.ixcaco.com.Carlos has been in the handicraft business for 21 years. ...and believe me, it's a business in which "Without a doubt everything everything you sent me was perfect. You selected exactly what I would have chosen. Everything was properly sized and arrived just fine." Fabio Torres Carlos knows virtually every Mayan handicraft supplier in Guatemala. They know him as a demanding, but fair buyer; as a customer who knows what he wants and excepts nothing less, but pays exactly as promised when when he gets it. What a buying agent does: As a buying agent, Carlos is responsible for negotiating prices and ordering the merchandise. Upon receipt of the goods it is counted and carefully checked for quality. He then pays the supplier. It's tagged (eg. "Made in Guatemala") according to the requirements of the country to which it is to be shipped, then packed and delivered to the shipping agent (Cropa-Panalpina), who, under Carlos's supervision, is responsible for the paperwork and delivery to the cargo company.References are available. |
