Hotel Jucanya is one of Panajachel's hidden jewels. It is about a ten minute walk from the center of Panajachel in the Mayan part of town called "Jucanya".

"Jucanya" means "the other side of the river" in the local Mayan language, Chatchiquel.

How to get to Hotel Jucanya:

A: From the center of town by foot:

1. About 10 meters below (going towards the lake) Banco Industrial you will see a path (1).
2. Follow the path over Rancho Grande Road (2).
3. Keep going down the path over the bridge (3).
4. About 30 meters past the bridge you will see the sign (4).

B: By car

1. Have the driver drop you off at Callejon Cho'Cruz (5) off Avenida Salpores in Jucanya. He will know where it is or how to find it.
2. Go straight down until it turns right, then left and you will see the sign (4) ahead of you.
