Gulf Star - 50’ mono-hull ketch
The Gulf Star 50 MK 11, 1981, is equipped with an 85 HP Perkins diesel engine, ketch rig, 3 staterooms, 3 heads and 2 showers. It has a 13'8" beam, with a 6' draft and 6.5 feet of headroom. The Gulf Star 50 has been equipped with just about everything necessary for a fun -- and safe -- Belize sailing trip that you'll tell your friends about for years. Cellular phone, 2 VHF radios, 3 GPS units, auto pilot, radar, radar detector, speed log and depth sounder, full safety equipment, dock side air conditioning Guest accommodations include 3 staterooms (2 staterooms have double beds, 1 stateroom has twin bunk beds). Two of the three private heads have showers.

We sail the western Caribbean from Mexico to Panama. This area is the least traveled and last to be discovered. The entire region is about adventure, exploration and discovery. Reservation Policy:
A non-refundable 10% deposit with the Tropical Travel Association is required in order to confirm your reservation. The 90% balance is due to the hotel upon arrival. In special circumstances Belize Sailing Charters has the right to apply additional requirements as long as they do so before the 10% deposit is paid.

Our sailing charter territory covers over 3,000 square miles. LOCATION:
Belize Sailing Charters is a Belizean company operating out of Placencia, Belize not a franchise for a U.S. or Caribbean based charter giant. We are Belize sailing specialists. Placencia is the ideal location for all your Belize charter needs. Placencia lies on a peninsula on the southern coast of Belize only 50 miles from Rio Dulce Guatemala. From Placencia you can access countless cayes and islands, miles of barrier reef and several small coastal villages. Placencia is a great place to provision for a bareboat charter or pick up last minute items for your crewed yacht charter. You will find a variety of stores including gift shops, hardware and pharmacy. At the Placencia fishing co-op you can buy ice, fresh fish, shrimp or conch. If you enjoy fly fishing you are in luck as Placencia is central to the best fly fishing areas in the country. Placencia has numerous world famous guides ready to show you the hot spots for fly fishing, trolling or bottom fishing. Placencia is also home to several scuba diving services. You can sail to the dive sites and be met by a local scuba service provider. These are only a few of the reasons Placencia has become the sailing adventure capital of Belize.
