About Us:
Inspired by the color and character of the 17th-century pirate trades, the rich artistry of the Mayan culture, and new, low-impact building technology that minimizes disruption of our area's natural beauty, Calico Jacks Resort is unlike any other vacation destination in Belize.

The caretakers at Calico Jack's Village are devoted to your comfort, safety, and pleasure, from the food you eat to the adventures you wish to pursue. Even before you arrive, we will know your comfort and travel needs. Expect our help in mapping out adventures to nearby jungle and reef, and arranging your travel by car, boat, or plane.

Facilities & Services:
Spacious, Mayan styled cabanas and villas, situated close to the ocean's edge. Kick off your shoes, step out on the beach, and enjoy a walk under the glow of sapphire skies and a magnificent moonrise. Or walk a little further to the thatched dock and swing over the ocean in a hammock and let the fresh scent of clean salt air lull you into peaceful reverie.

Seven (21' X 24') thatch-roofed and stucco Mayan styled cabanas on the beach, within 60 feet of the sea, and two two-story, air conditioned villas with custom-designed interiors for purchase or rental, featuring:

• One queen-sized and one double bed
• Hot-and-cold water bathroom
• Air conditioning in four cabanas

• Pure bottled drinking water
• Spacious closets and storage
• Hurricane bedside lamps and overhead lights

Reservation Policy:
A non-refundable 10% deposit with the Tropical Travel Association is required in order to confirm your reservation. The 90% balance is due to the hotel upon arrival. In special circumstances Calico Jack's Village has the right to apply additional requirements as long as they do so before the 10% deposit is paid.

Of Special Note:
Environmental preservation in the construction and ongoing operation of Calico Jack's Village is a personal priority of owners and developers, Chester "Chet" Williams and Dr. Ydahlia Metzgen-Williams. In deciding to build an authentic Belizean village for travel-lovers, they made a commitment to ensure that the surrounding jungle and waterways would be left in their pristine condition. To that end, they have made every effort to employ and engage local Belizeans in the building project and to do everything possible to make the village self-sustaining without disturbing the jungle to the north and west of the village.

By employing local Belizeans at the village, Chet's and Ydahlia's intention is two-fold: First, they hope to send a message of environmental responsibility to the people who are the stewards of their beautiful native land; and second, they hope to make use of native talent in building, designing, and furnishing the village in authentic Belizean style. With the realization that building a village on the beach is a potentially environmentally threatening project, they installed generators from which all the electricity is drawn. In addition, they hired engineers to design and install a desalination system that recycles sea water to provide pure bathing water while giving back to the sea what is hers.

How to find us.
International flights land at Philip Goldson International Airport in Ladyville, 9 miles north of Belize City. U.S. airlines serving this destination include American, Continental, and Taca International. Flight times are 2 hours from Miami, 2.5 hours from Houston, 5 hours from New York, and 8 hours from San Francisco. There are no direct flights from the UK - a U.S. connection is required.

From the International Airport a flight to Placencia is required to bring you within pickup distance to the Village. If you prefer, we will make arrangements to have you picked up at the International Airport and transport you to Calico Jack's Village by vehicle. The transit time is approx. 2.5 hours. Stops at the Belize Zoo and Blue Hole for a refreshing swim can easily be arranged.
