About Us:
This Belizean landmark was built in 1927 by talented local craftsmen and still retains its beauty, grace and charm.
It would be my pleasure to welcome you to this wonderful Colonial home, which we have meticulously appointed with all the amenities for your comfort and convenience. Our on property tour operator makes arranging trips to the barrier reef, Mayan sites, Mountain Pine Ridge and scuba diving, easy and inexpensive.
Facilities & Services:
The Great House provides tour opportunities both on the mainland of Belize to interior waterways, cave systems and Maya Ruins and offshore to the Belize Barrier Reef, the outer atolls and the cayes. We also have activities which can take you from mainland sites to offshore destinations in one day.

Activities:
Reservation Policy:
A non-refundable 10% deposit with the Tropical Travel Association is required in order to confirm your reservation. The 90% balance is due to the hotel upon arrival. In special circumstances The Great House has the right to apply additional requirements as long as they do so before the 10% deposit is paid.
Of Special Note:
This magnificent four-story colonial style residence is probably the largest classic wooden home still in existence in Belize. Originally built as a family home, this wonderful structure still provides the warmth and comfort reminiscent of the early colonial times of Belize. Spacious verandas at the front and back of the house allow you to relax and let go amidst the soothing embrace of the Caribbean breezes.
Only 100 meters from the Caribbean Sea, 12 miles from largest barrier reef in the Western Hemisphere, 25 miles from the sites of the Mayan Civilization, and a 10 minute walk from the city center, directly across the street from the Radisson Hotel.
How to find us.
The Great House is located in the renowned Fort George area and is just 100 meters from the Caribbean Sea. Around the corner stands the historic Fort Point Lighthouse at the entrance to the Belize Harbor and adjacent to the Baron Bliss Memorial.
