Our family-run resort on the beach of Ambergris Caye welcomes you to the best in adventure and accommodations.
Whether you opt for rooms in our gracious, mahogany colonial lodge, or the privacy and comfort of the El Pescador luxury Villas, you'll be right on the beach, facing the sea, surrounded by the fragrance of tropical flowering plants and the whisper of shady palms.
Not only will find the serenity and seclusion you are looking for, you'll have the convenience of being within walking distance of San Pedro Town and its gift shops, restaurants, bars and night spots.
Whether it's arranging for a massage on your own balcony, a private fly fishing lesson, day of diving or snorkeling in our world famous barrier reef, a round of golf on a private island, a cave tubing adventure or jungle river cruise to a Maya archaeological site, our experienced staff is happy to oblige.

Our beach front resort has several amenities for your enjoyment after a good day fly fishing, snorkeling the reef, or inland adventure. We want you to have fun around the lodge or villas, to be well fed, happy and relaxed.
The resort restaurant specializes in fresh, local Caribbean cuisine with meals served on our outdoor deck or in our great room.
You may join us for hor's douvres from 4:30 pm in the bar, the perfect place for sharing stories after a day's activities.

Fishing and Diving:
Fishing includes either 1 or 2 anglers per boat for 8 consecutive hours. No fishing gear is included. The above dive rates are based on 2 tanks daily with a minimum of 2 divers per dive. Rates include tanks, weights and weight belt.
All Prices are per person and quoted in US dollars. We accept BZ cash, US cash, US traveler's checks, Visa and Master Card. Credit card slips are written in Belize dollars using the exchange rate of US$1 = BZ $2.07.

Designed with the active family in mind, this fun filled trip is packed with the best that Belize has to offer. Begin your adventure in the rain forest of Punta Gorda, exploring the unspoiled beauty and wildlife of the Toledo district and learning about the Maya civilization. Move on to a leisurely beachfront stay on Ambergris Caye on the world famous Barrier Reef.
Sample Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrive in Belize City and transfer to El Pescador Punta Gorda.
Enjoy a dip in our freshwater pool and get settled in your private cabana overlooking the rain forest canopy.
Day 2 - Enjoy a hearty breakfast before leaving for a wondrous day exploring Lubantunn Maya archeological site, home of the famous "Crystal Skull". A short distance from the site is the Fallen Stones Butterfly Gardens where you see gorgeous tropical butterflies being raised.
Day 3 - Enjoy the wonders of our own Wildlife Preserve. Nature's hidden secrets unveil before you eyes as you canoe down river. Magical encounters wait around every bend and the air is rich with the sounds of exotic birds singing of your arrival. Following a picnic lunch,you hike back to the lodge as a troop of Howler monkeys break into a frenzy of tree-top aerobics and try to out-do the roars of the alpha-male across the river.
Day 4 - Leave Punta Gorda for an early flight to Belize City. There your naturalist guide will drive you to Jaguar Paw Caves Branch for a short interpretive jungle hike to the river. There you will jump into your inner tube for a leisurely float downstream through magnificent caverns. Return to Belize City for a short transfer to El Pescador Ambergris Caye arriving in time to settle into your beachfront Villa room and enjoy dinner overlooking the Caribbean.
Day 5 - Grab your fins and head for the crystal blue Caribbean waters! Our guide will introduce you to the wonders of the world's largest living Barrier Reef. Snorkel with magnificent tropical fish, nurse sharks and eagle rays in a tropical wonderland of underwater life.
Day 6 - Meander up the New River siting various flora and fauna. Tour Altun Ha, ancient Maya city where the largest piece of carved jade in the Maya world was found, followed by lunch at a jungle spa.
Day 7 - Enjoy the beauty of Caribbean blue water and you visit a secluded mangrove island, which is natural habitat for the endangered West Indian Manatee. Bring your camera to snap photos of the rare and beautiful creature before stopping at a secluded island for a picnic lunch with opportunities for swimming and snorkeling. Visit charming, rustic Caye Caulker before returning to Ambergris Caye and El Pescador.
Day 8 - Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and morning swim before transferring to Belize City and your return flight home.

Santa Cruz Falls in Rio Blanco National Park:Head deep into the rain forest where wildlife is plentiful and undisturbed to a river cave..Pause for a refreshing swim in cascading pools that eventually flow over Rio Blanco Falls. It's a great swimming location with high bluffs for diving in the deep pool below, or just up stream you can pick a small secluded pool to sit back and relax.
Meet the Maya people of Belize:Your guide will introduce you to the descendants of people who ruled this region over 2000 years ago. In the village of Blue Creek, these Maya villagers still practice the traditional ways, crafts and cooking that remain untouched by modern society. After your village tour, enjoy a picnic lunch and a refreshing swim in your own private waterfall pool.

How to find us.
After clearing customs at the international airport in belize City please continue into the Main Terminal and to the applicable local airline counter (we will notify you if we have booked you on Maya Island Air or Tropic Air) to find your tickets waiting for you under both "El Pescador" and your last name.
You then take a quick, 20-minute flight to San Pedro, Ambergris Caye where a Representative from El Pescador will meet you at the San Pedro Airstrip. A taxi will transport you and your luggage 3 blocks to the pier where the EP Representative will escort you to the lodge or Villas by boat.
