About Us:
Our Inn is tucked within a beautifully landscaped tropical garden, providing a restful environment for our guests. We take pleasure in providing a relaxed, at home atmosphere here. The wide sandy beach offers an abundance of both shade and sun; plenty of coconut palms, with hammocks and beach chairs waiting.

The nearby lagoon is ideal for early morning bird watching or late afternoon excursion, where you may quietly canoe, while watching for a variety of birds, manatee and an occasional crocodile. You may also drop a fishing line here.

Facilities & Services:
You will stay in one of six thatched cabanas, built from local hardwoods, primarily mahogany. The rooms are simply decorated, with clean white walls, local artwork and Guatemalan needle craft.

Each cabana has either a double or queen bed and a second single bed, separate bathroom with hot shower, and refrigerator. Rooms are cooled by ceiling fans and the sea breezes. A small patio with protective thatch roof and rocking chairs offers a full view of the sea from your own cabana.

Breakfast is served in the open, thatched roof restaurant, where you may view the sea as you enjoy a variety of fruits, fresh squeezed juices, local breads, pastries, brewed coffee and herbal teas, etc. We are happy to accommodate any dietary needs or preferences. The cooler is always stocked with ice cold Belikin beer, a variety of wines, soft drinks, juice and bottled water.

Activities:

We offer a number of local tours such as visiting the nearby Cockscomb Jaguar Preserve and boat trips up Monkey River. Birders can see Macaws (Jan to mid-March). Plus this region is renowned for its salt water fly fishing. Of course, the diving and snorkeling is amazing.

Reservation Policy:
A non-refundable 10% deposit with the Tropical Travel Association is required in order to confirm your reservation. The 90% balance is due to the hotel upon arrival. In special circumstances Singing Sands Inn has the right to apply additional requirements as long as they do so before the 10% deposit is paid.

Of Special Note:
The 40 x 20 fresh water pool is surrounded by coconut palms and deck with several beach and lounging chairs.

Gift shop located on the premises, along with library, laundry facilities, e-mail and fax services. Rainy day activities provided; i.e., a variety of games and art crafts for the children.

How to find us.
The flight to Belize International is direct from Miami, Houston as well as other departure points provided through USAirways, including Charlotte, N.C. One may choose a variety of ways to travel about the country. A number of major car rental companies operate out of Belize City, offering round trip rental.

The local buses also provide service to this area, as well as chartered van services, which often include interesting stops along the way. Should you choose to fly the 60 air miles from Belize City to Placencia, we do make those flight arrangements and pick up at the local airstrip.
